We're pleased to share the following invitation with our fans: In today’s high-speed culture, most of us can relate to the feeling of having too much to do and not enough time for the people and things we value most. We feel fragmented, overwhelmed by busyness and the tyranny of gadgets. We live in a world where, in the words of Eugene Peterson, “the wonder has leaked out.”
We are grateful for the benefits we get from technology, but we also wonder how it is changing our lives and displacing things we consider important. In the first event of our Forum on Faith in Everyday Life, An Evening of Story, Song and Conversation, we will be considering these questions through music and conversation.
Buddy Greene, a regular at Tokens, along with singers/songwriters Sandra McCracken, Jill Phillips, Andy Gullahorn and Ashley Cleveland join Arthur Boers and Kenny Benge for a “musical conversation” about how Christian practices and priorities not only center and enrich our lives but help us recover human flourishing in our fast-paced world.
